Alone in my room is about female sexuality, psychology and self-eroticization. The images depict anonymous, lone figures in private suburban locations. Taken from a female perspective, they reclaim the pleasure and the performance of active female sexuality. Interspersed between these figures are domestic images that reveal her physical space, and landscapes that represent her head-space or emotional state. These images encourage a re-imagining of female identity and psychology through the landscape.
