Pauline Dewar
Pauline Dewar is an Australian botanical artist whose practice spans more than a decade and encompasses both scientific illustration and vibrant contemporary works. Her detailed depictions of Australian flora, fauna and fungi celebrate the complexity of local ecosystems while bringing warmth and colour into the home.
Working from live specimens gathered across Victoria, Pauline uses watercolour, pencil, ink, markers and textiles to create richly layered artworks. She has received multiple awards for her scientific botanical illustrations, including the Margaret Flockton Award (2016), and continues to explore new ways of sharing a deep love of the natural world through art.
