Exquisite hand prints on traditional silver gelatin fiber based paper, they are part of a series of coastal photographs taken in several countries, mostly around the Pacific Rim.
The photographs in Southern Shores were taken with an 8×10 inch camera in 1993 and printed in 1994.
Using a large camera on a tripod is a slow process and gives a different dynamic when compared with casual snaps. The photographs are meant to be neutral yet interesting, a selection of moments involving the coastal environment.
